Joseph Pentenrieder (* October 15, 1796, + April 16, 1869) from Mammendorf near Fürstenfeldbruck worked as a journeyman in the company and married Euphemia Weiss in 1826. In 1827, the actual founding date of the company, a trade in goods of all kinds was started in addition to the craft business. Pentenrieder, a capable man, achieved a high reputation, became mayor and headed the community for almost 25 years. As an efficient businessman he was also a supplier to the parish church foundation. In 1848, as we can see from the church bills, he delivered braids, laces and ribbons for 51 guilders and ten years later incense and oil for 56 guilders 26 kreuzers. Joseph Pentenrieder also became captain of the Landwehr in 1846.
